I absolutely love turning up to a family lifestyle photoshoot... You never know what is going to happen. There is always lots of changes of pace, crazy running around moments, super calm tired moments, from laughing hysterically to grumpy faces. Its a complete whirlwind and its bloody brilliant. I really love getting to know your little people and it's amazing how much can happen in under 2 hours. One of my fave parts of these shoots is when these little characters show me their favourite toy or a drawing they are really proud of, it just makes my heart melt and I love capturing these little expressions on their faces.
I'm definitely not a 'perfectly posed' family photographer, I am much more inspired by the real connection, emotions and characters that you and your tribe are all about. These boys definitely had a cheeky side and the cutest grins, and looked cool as can be in there winter coats stomping around the woodland. Henry had a little grumpy moment, which added a little twist and I got to capture his incredible pout, in family lifestyle photography every cloud has a silver lining. I think it is really important to capture their true personalities, and for them to be doing things they love, hanging out with their brother in the woods is probably high up on most children lists of fun things to do. Who wants to be stuck in a boring studio smiling for the camera. I have to say thats not my idea of a fun family afternoon, which is why I prefer to get everyone outdoors for a runaround or a chill out at home session with everything you love around you.
I also love that every shoot is unique and is based around you and your little ones, so when you look back on these photos in years to come, you will have the memories to go with your photographs
