The Wedding

Abbey and Jacob travelled all the way from Sydney, Australia to a tiny town in the south of Italy to have their beautifully simple and pared back wedding

All the little touches were minimalistic yet personal and sat harmoniously within the puglian countryside and the grounds of Masseria Camarda

The bride and groom got ready in separate Trulli's with close family and friends floating around the place, a beer here and there, a chat by the pool, it was so relaxed and peaceful, and as the ceremony was after 5pm, no one was in a rush, it was total holiday vibes

The Bride

Abbey wore her hair in a chic low bun which was beautifully and subtly textured, this was pared with elegant and summery make up, statement pearl earrings and Abbey's gorgeous ring collection

Her Made With Love Riley dress was accessorised with clear mules and floaty tulle wings instead of the traditional veil which went perfectly with Abbey and Jake's laid back, cool and classy vibe!

The Groom

Jacob wore a black double breasted suit with a white open collar shirt and black loafers which complemented Abbey's outfit perfectly

The Flowers

Abbey's bouquet and Jake's buttonhole were again super simple and delicate with white David Austin Roses, olive sprigs and eucalyptus taking centre stage

This minimal and timeless Italian aesthetic cascaded across the entire venue, from the gorgeous Olive tree which they were married beneath, to the aperitifs, dessert table and long seating area which was sprinkled with candles and subtly lit from above with festoon lighting

Bride & Groom Couple Photos

For the bride and groom's couple portraits, we strolled around the grounds of the venue, taking in the beautiful Italian surroundings, we took a walk through the olive grove and found some iconic Apulian cacti to use as a backdrop

It was important to reflect Abbey and Jake's personalities as well as document the feeling and atmosphere of the place they had chosen to get married, so rather than posing them, which I find can look really unnatural, I just gave them small directions and allowed them to relax and be themselves, enjoying their time together away from their guests and soaking up the Italian sunset and dusty paths

I love how elegant yet calm and relaxed these guys look in their photos, and although there was no sunbeams on this evening, the dusky pinky sky was just as dreamy!

Other Wedding Details

From the 6 course Italian feast for their wedding breakfast (which I was also treated too, thank you so so much) to the cocktails and oysters which were served during the drinks reception by the pool, the wedding guests were well and truly treated whilst they celebrated together in style

A couple of Puglian pooches wondered around, and as Abbey and Jake began to cut their cake, a surprise firework display lit up the sky and added even more magic to the evening!

I absolutely loved documenting Abbey and Jacob's Apulian dream wedding! If you haven't visited Puglia, or Italy even, and you love spending time outdoors, eating beautiful fresh food, drinking tasty wine, and generally living la dolce vita, then book your next flight to Brindisi or Bari and breathe it all in!
